What Does Minor In Possession of Liquor (MIP) Mean?
In Michigan, people under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume, purchase, or attempt to purchase alcohol. A violation of this rule could result in MIP charges being brought against the violator.
Maximum Penalties: $100.00 in fines and/or probation and/or participation in substance abuse prevention services and/or substance abuse rehabilitation or treatment programs and/or community service
